Idea Validator research workbench interface

Project Overview

Idea Validator is a personal product research workbench for moving from hunch to evidence. It starts with a pain point or market category, then mines public signal sources for real complaints, alternatives, and urgency.

The product uses Claude for scoring, synthesis, and adversarial critique, while preserving research history in Postgres for comparison and export.

It was built as a practical founder tool: fast enough for repeated exploration, structured enough to compare opportunities, and skeptical enough to surface reasons not to build.

Built Around

Pain-signal mining across Reddit, Hacker News, X, GitHub Issues, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers RSS, and Google Trends.
Claude scoring, synthesis, and adversarial critique workflows.
Postgres-backed history, comparison, and exportable validation reports.
Eval harness to keep research quality measurable as prompts and sources evolve.
